Matcha Samui Resort Formerly Chaba Samui Resort - Chaweng (Koh Samui)

The room was clean and comfy, but check-out felt so impersonal.

The venue is modern, food is amazing, unbeatable location close to everything. It has large rooms with very good air con, lovely view, as example.

It's functional hotel and big, with really good staff and MAGNIFICENT location to 3 different night markets from here. The double room is modern, we also appreciated gorgeous views.

The ocean view from my Beautiful Double Room was amazing, making every sunset an lovely experience.

The bathroom was disappointingly small, a bit challenging to move around comfortably.

The staff were superb as was the room. The hotel backs on to the sea and the pool.

Excellent location, on the beach, bars, restaurants etc on doorstep. For the location the price of accommodation was very reasonable in my opinion. We chose to stay 'ocean wing' descent view of gardens from balcony - not sure if balconies available in the other 'wing' - worth checking first if you require a balcony. Good massage next to pool (which also looks over the beach/ocean). Did not eat in hotel, so can't comment on hotel food. Room comfortable enough.

No real complaints other than quite an old hotel.

This hotel has friendly and accommodating staff.

The Beautiful Double Room in the Lake Building was outdated. The door locks felt unsafe, and the room didn't have proper facilities for working remotely. The breakfast room resembled a train station cafeteria, lacking any charm or warmth that one would expect from a resort experience.

Location was great being right on the beach. Service was very good. Really enjoyed the theme buffet nights at the restaurant. Prices were fantastic. Also enjoyed being able to have cocktails on the beach. Very relaxing

Mosquitoes were an issue as there was a hole in the sliding door. Although staff sprayed room, a can of mosquito spray in the room would have helped.

Close to central markets/streets.

Was overpriced for what you got.

I stayed in a Beautiful Double Room in the Ocean Building for 10 nights, and it was good! The large floor-to-ceiling windows offered amazing views, and the beach access was just steps away. The pool facilities were fantastic, especially the rooftop pool with an very nice atmosphere to unwind.

the hotel staff were so freindly and helpfull even though we arrived five days after the floods and they had a lot of cleaning up to do. enjoyed are stay very much.

Location was the best part about it. Nothing much more to add.

There are much better places to stay at a similar price within a stones throw away.

Very nice beach access just steps from my room.

Location is fantastic. Pool and beach next to each other. Also only have to walk outside hotel to be in main hub of restaurants, shops etc.

The hotel is in need of updating, there's paint peeling off etc. It appears tired. The reception staff were very difficult to understand and had trouble understanding us as well. Would have appreciated reception staff confirming our flights but we were told we had to call ourselves then are charged a high call rate as a result.
